UPCOMING EVENTS
Men's Saturday Morning Bible Study
Begin's Saturday, Feb. 11th at 8am
All men, young and old are invited to join us for a 5 week video series, In the Dust of the Rabbi, by Ray Vander Laan
Walk with Ray Vander Laan through the land that Jesus and his disciples walked. Learn how the culture and politics of the first century influenced the imagery and stories of the Bible, and see the Scriptures through the eyes of God's chosen people, the Jews. Filmed on location, take a journey through Galilee and Asia Minor. Learn how to follow Rabbi Jesus so closely that his dust covers you. Discover with Paul the apostle what walking like Jesus meant in the first century---and what it means today.
Coffee, donuts and maybe something a little more healthy will be provided. Plan on video followed by a discussion...1.5 hours max.
ATTENTION LADIES — JAMES, MERCY TRIUMPHS
Beth Moore Bible Study Begins Thursday, Feb. 2 at 9:30 a.m.
Your story is powerful. Your heartbreak, sickness, and failures are not empty. Those holes in your heart leave space for mercy to fill, making you complete. Your life story is proof of that, just like James. Jesus’ own brother started out as a skeptic. But one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Be inspired to put your faith into action in practical ways and get to know both the man and the Book of James through this 8-week
interactive study.

MINISTRY/SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
ATTENTION — KIDVENTURE NEEDS YOUR HELP!!!!
We are in DESPERATE need of storytellers and worship leaders in KidVenture. We have lost several of our college-age volunteers due to school starting and moving. If you are willing to serve in either of these capacities on a rotating basis, PLEASE let Shelly Krasa, Debbie Wright or Pastor Vern know as soon as possible.
Looking for a way to become more involved?
We are in need of additional volunteers to serve in the sound booth on Sunday mornings. Don’t let lack of experience scare you away, you will be trained on how to use the system. If you are interested in serving in this area, please contact the church office or see Pastor Vern.
We are also in need of more volunteers to serve as ushers. Please see Joe Wasserman if you would be willing to serve in this capacity.
NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!!
The nursery is very short-handed and needs your help. If you would be interested in volunteering, please contact Tanya Sigurdson (419-836-1058) or the church office (419-691-1048).
If you are 16 or older and would be interested in joining the worship team to fill-in as needed with vocals, please contact the church office.
Our HELPING HANDS meals ministry is in need of more volunteers. Members of this ministry team provide meals when we have someone in need after returning home from the hospital, etc. If you would like to be on the list of people available to prepare a meal, and/or to help when we have funeral luncheons here at church, please sign up on the appropriate sheets at the information center.
Are you in need of prayer or know someone who is?
We have prayer partners ready to pray for you.
Please contact the Prayer Chain by calling Janet Gray (419) 693-8705 or Mary Ann Stratman (419) 691-9315. If there is an emergency situation, please don’t hesitate to call. We are here for you day or night.
ADDITIONAL NOTES OF INTEREST
PLEASE NOTIFY THE CHURCH OFFICE
If you are hospitalized for any reason, please contact the church office or have a loved one do so. The hospitals no longer automatically call to notify us and many times we are unaware that someone from our congregation has been hospitalized. It is our desire to be available to minister to you during these times and your help in notifying us is appreciated!
